French Toast with Strawberries

Ingredients

The Custard:

• 2 eggs
• 1 cup milk
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

1. In a shallow dish, whisk together all of the custard ingredients.
2. Place the bread slices in the mix, flipping to saturate them and let stand for 10 minutes or more.
3. For the grill, flip at least one grate so that the flat side is facing up and preheat to 350F (all burners on high and in the up position for 8-10 minutes).
4. Place the soaked bread slices and strawberry halves on the grates and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
5. Remove the French toast and strawberries from the grill and plate with butter and a healthy drizzle of your favorite syrup (pure maple is highly recommended).
